26 November 2009
Towards the end of last year, 55 candidates from the OECT (Ordre des Experts Comptables de Tunisie) were awarded with an International Certificate in Financial English (Cambridge ICFE) at a ceremony organised by the British Council. The candidates were presented certificates by HM Ambassador for Tunisia Christopher O’Connor on 3rd November.
Craig McWilliam, Cambridge ESOL’s Regional Manager for the area said:
“The students should be very proud of what they have achieved today. We’re very excited to have ICFE test takers in Tunisia and all of the students have shown a high level of commitment to language learning.”
Sarah Rolph Deputy Director of the British Council said:
“The president of Tunisia Zine El Abidine Ben Ali is very keen to encourage Tunisians working in the financial sector to improve their English in order to be able to work internationally and we are very pleased to be able to help Tunisian accountants achieve this goal”.
