Mexican accountants to benefit from Cambridge's financial English certificate
22 April 2009
One of Mexico's largest accounting and auditing firms has begun using the International Certificate in Financial English (ICFE) set by a department of Cambridge University. Freyssinier Morin started working with Cambridge last December when their managing partners took part in a pilot exam session. As a result, the firm adopted the exam to help develop and benchmark the English language proficiency of existing and potential employees.
Freyssinier Morin has been operating in the Mexican accounting market since the 1950's and currently employ 700 members of staff in 32 offices around the country. They recognise the value of ICFE as it is specifically designed for accountants and finance professionals wanting to develop their English language skills in professional and real life situations. The test also has the benefit of being fully aligned to the internationally recognised benchmark of language ability – the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
