About Cambridge Financial English

Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), Cambridge University Press and ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) have combined their expertise to develop Cambridge Financial English – a blended learning course designed to develop financial English language skills.

Cambridge Financial English is for individuals whose first language is not English and who need to use financial English in order to perform effectively in business situations.

Cambridge Financial English is a mix of online and face-to-face learning, designed to be facilitated by a teacher, tutor or mentor. It comprehensively develops ability across the four skill areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking.

This flexible 100-hour course is designed to deliver 75 hours online learning with 25 hours face-to-face teaching. Although this is the typical format, other combinations can be tailored to the needs of your organisation.

The emphasis on online study gives students the option to schedule the majority of their study time to fit in with commitments at work or in their life.

The face-to-face support for Cambridge Financial English can be delivered either by an external training company, language centre or by an English language trainer employed by or contracted to an organisation.

Cambridge Financial English may also count towards the continuing professional development (CPD) requirements of members of accountancy and finance professional bodies.
